A Little history about the Sushi...

Sushi began as a method of preserving fish by fermentation between layers of salt and rice, pressing it with a heavy stone, in the absence of refrigerators.

After a few months, the fermented fish and rice were considered ready to eat. In the mid-seventeenth century, Dr. Matsumoto Yoshiichi had a revolutionary idea: rice vinegar was added to give the sour taste the fish, which only achieved months of fermentation.

Only in the eighteenth century, a chef named Yohei Hanaya resigned from the fermentation and served sushi in its current form, placing the fish on canapés fresh rice. The result was a complete success. First it was fashion in New York.

Today, everyone asks. It is rich, healthy and low calorie!
